The FunFit center is located in Agno, at the World Trade Center.
Are you looking for serious and trained professionals for an effective and fun workout? We are here for you!
In addition to fitness classes, GAG (group workouts), Functional Training, Fit Boxing, specific for abdominals and Stretching, we can accompany you in professional posturology programs.
An innovative class offered by Funfit is Pilates with Cadillac and Reformer. Special Pilates for pregnant women, recognized by health insurance companies, and the more classic Pilates Matwork, performed with a mat, is also offered.
PILATES...WHAT IS IT?
There are eight guiding principles, derived from the direct experience of Joseph Pilates himself, which represent the key points of the Pilates method. Indispensable principles, which also prove useful for other disciplines and which together cooperate in physical well-being.
POSTUROLOGY
The posture is the habitual posture of a person, determined by the contraction of skeletal muscle groups that oppose gravity and the way in which the individual communicates with the external environment. The postural system is a very complex whole, involving structures of the central and peripheral nervous system, thus the eye, foot, skin system, muscles, joints, stomatognathic apparatus (occlusal system and tongue) and the inner ear.
The concept of posture is associated with the concept of balance.
Balance is the result of the strategy employed by each individual to assume and maintain any position of his or her body in a given circumstance, seeking to achieve: minimum energy consumption with maximum dynamic balance and minimum psychophysical stress.
The posturology is that part of alternative medicine that studies the relationships between the body's posture and certain pathologies that result from an incorrect postural set-up.
The posturologist is a professional who treats posture-related diseases and disorders, adapting an approach that takes into account the patient's trauma, lifestyle and character.
FITNESS
What it means to be fit!!!
Our fitness is determined by several components, which are coachable and thus improvable;
- Cardiorespiratory endurance: the body's ability to acquire and deliver oxygen to tissues and organs.
- Strength: ability of the body to overcome or oppose an external restistance.
- Flexibility: ability of the body or a joint to move freely throughout its possible range of motion.
- Speed: ability to perform an activity in a minimum amount of time.
- Power: ability to be strong and fast together.
- Coordination: ability to smoothly combine distinct movements into a single motion.
- Agility: ability to move from one movement to another in a minimum amount of time.
- Balance: ability to control the body in relation to the base of support.
- Precision: ability to control movement.
- Body composition: the proper balance between lean body mass and fat mass.
The more you improve in each component, the fitter you will be.
Whoever you are, you will be a better "YOU" if you make proper, frequent and intensely appropriate exercise your life companion.
Why exercise with a free body? I find it more beautiful, more rewarding and interesting. Before looking for tools, ask yourself questions: how do I move? Am I able to use my body? Do I have perception of movements?
I think it is important to educate a person about movement, to understand what they are doing and why they are doing it.
Our body, embedded in the environment in which we live, is the main training tool, the most valuable one we have. Through our bodies we can improve the quality of our lives.
