Das Hauptanliegen der Kinderhilfe Emmaus ist es, Not leidenden Kindern und Familien in den Entwicklungsländern beizustehen und in Zusammenarbeit mit ihnen die Ursachen ihres Elends zu beheben. Die Entwicklungszusammenarbeit der Kinderhilfe Emmaus umfasst Kinder-Patenschaften, Familienhilfe und Gemeinschaftshilfe. Seit 1971 unterstützten wir 120 Entwicklungsprojekte in 11 Ländern. In dieser Zeit konnte rund 10'624 Patenkindern sowie Zehntausenden von Schulkindern und Familien nachhaltig geholfen werden. Patenschaften sind Freundschaften Eine Patenschaft à CHF 50.– pro Kind und Monat ermöglicht einem mittellosen Mädchen oder Knaben in einem Entwicklungsland, zur Schule zu gehen und einen Beruf zu erlernen. Ernährung, Schulung und Ausbildung zielen auf eine umfassende Entwicklung des Kindes. So wird es befähigt, sein späteres Leben selbständig zu meistern.
