Pleasant atmosphere but the food was disappointing
We chose Acqua to celebrate our wedding anniversary, clearly a special night for us. However, our experience fell short of expectations. We were served by two waitresses, one of whom seemed new to the restaurant. Despite her friendliness, she didn't know how to provide information about the dishes we asked about. My husband ordered Costolette di agnello al pistacchio which came with mashed potatoes, rather than the advertised celeriac puree. When we asked after the dish arrived, the waitress confirmed that it was "just like that". My risotto al gorgonzola e noci con pere al vino rosso was disappointing; I didn't taste the promised gorgonzola, it tasted more like milk/sour cream, without any noticeable seasoning. This departure from the menu description made me hesitant to order another dish, worried that this second order would be as frustrating as the first; leaving me unsatisfied on what should have been a celebratory occasion. And, of course I left dinner hungry.
