No matter how old we are, we keep vivid memories of our childhood and adolescence deep in our minds. All it takes is a piece of music, an image, a voice, or even a smell to bring them back.

My name is Barbara Steffen, I am 52 years old, divorced, and have two daughters aged 23 and 20. I trained and qualified as a commercial employee at the Neuchâtel School of Business, then worked in various companies in the region.

We live in Cressier, in the house my parents built in 1973. It's not new, I admit, but it's a nice place to live because the neighborhood is quiet and we're just a stone's throw from the forest and vineyards, which are ideal places for beautiful walks. We can enjoy our large garden and swimming pool at our leisure. It's certainly not an Olympic-sized pool, but it's perfect for swimming, having fun, or simply cooling off.

If the person's abilities allow it, various activities and daily tasks can be carried out with my assistance:

• Walks

• Shopping

• Board games

• Gardening

• Cooking together

• Attending events and shows

• Knitting

• Accompanying residents to the doctor, physical therapist, hairdresser, and other appointments.

I prefer to welcome residents for long-term stays, although short-term stays are possible depending on availability.

For day care only: I can pick up the person in the morning and bring them back in the evening.
