For you in plastering and painting: in the fourth generation
I was born into the trade. The men in our family have been plastering and painting since 1898, when my great-grandfather founded the business. The tradition has always been for the son to apprentice with his father, inherit the house at Schulhausstrasse 5, and take over the solid, successful business.
With this history, I am now leading the business into the future, after my father worked in the company until 2008. Yves Schmid completed his apprenticeship as a painter with me and we have been working side by side since he passed his exam.

The Walkers: From yesterday to today
1898: August Walker founds the Walker plastering company and hires his father as a plasterer.
1913 to 1915: Werner Walker learns the trade in his father's business. In 1931, he joins his father and takes over the plastering business after his father's death in 1941. He works with his son Hans until 1979.
1950 to 1954: Hans Walker, my father, learns the trade in his parents' business. In 1960, he passes the master plasterer's examination and takes over the company in 1966.
