Bread spirits are made from flawless bread that could no longer be sold. The result is a pure drinking experience with aromas of stone fruit and vanilla.

In the charming, elegant ambience of the gently renovated tea room, you can enjoy the dreamlike view through the large panoramic windows, which were created in the 1960s for amazed tourists. And, of course, you can also indulge in sweet and savory Schmid specialties, which combine traditional craftsmanship with creativity and passion.

Fresh from the oven and crispy

Sometimes less is more. This old adage also applies in the bakery. In order to delight you every day with oven-fresh, high-quality bread and baked goods, we focus on a few types of bread and baked goods that are made by hand according to traditional recipes: brown bread, St. Gallen bread, rye bread, graham bread, sourdough bread, and butter braids. We also take great care in selecting our raw ingredients. For example, for decades we have sourced our wheat flour from a high-quality mill in Fraubrunnen.
