There is hardly a profession that is more popular and more deeply rooted in popular belief than that of the chimney sweep. He is still considered a lucky charm today. This luck consists of the fact that he regularly cleans all chimneys and fireplaces and conscientiously checks them to protect our homes from the risk of fire.
