The music store plays a wide variety of stringed instruments, mainly string and keyboard instruments, grand pianos and upright pianos, but also double basses, guitars, and electric pianos, and we deal in sheet music, primarily folk music sheet music. Our music store also rents out grand pianos, upright pianos, electric pianos, and double basses, especially double basses in various sizes for children and young people.

Musikhaus Gisler was founded in 1991 and is jointly managed by Linda Gamma Gisler and Peter Gisler. It is a sought-after and trusted address for musical services, particularly in Central Switzerland, Zurich, Aargau, and Ticino. In 2006, we took over Mülirad-Verlag from Fabian Müller, Zurich. This is an insider tip for recommended folk music sheet music and the source of new folk music. Mülirad-Verlag was awarded the Swiss Music Prize 2022 for publishing the Hanny Christen collection.

Musikhaus Gisler also offers tuning services for all types of upright and grand pianos. Peter Gisler is a piano technician who trained in piano construction and tuning at the renowned Burger & Jacobi company in Biel, Switzerland, and received further training at C. Bechstein in Berlin and Yamaha in Hamburg. Peter Gisler loves to play the strings of his double bass himself. He plays in various classical orchestras and folk music groups, including Hanneli-Musig. Peter Gisler is also active as a composer, double bass teacher, and folk music researcher.

The various areas of activity and commitments of Musikhaus Gisler require the dedication and assistance of the entire family. Linda Gamma Gisler manages the retail store at Tellsgasse 16 in Altdorf. As managing director and co-owner, she is responsible for scheduling, administration, and accounting. Their two sons, Fernando and Diego Marcello, actively support the music store.
