Extinguishing devices and extinguishing systems are used to apply extinguishing agents quickly, safely and as effectively as possible. Which of the many different extinguishing systems is recommended in individual cases depends on the definition of the functional characteristics and protection goals as well as the choice of suitable extinguishing agents and extinguishing agent additives.

In order to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages, it is advisable to contact us as a specialist company at an early stage of the project. Once the suitable extinguishing system has been defined, the technical processing is carried out in accordance with national and international standards in consultation with the authorities and specialist agencies. Where possible, the installation of the selected system components is prefabricated at the Balsthal plant. This allows us to ensure quality and save installation time.

Well over a thousand systems have been installed in new buildings and conversions for all possible types of use throughout Switzerland in accordance with the customer's individual protection goals and requirements. Smoke extraction and smoke control

Smoke extraction and smoke control in buildings, rooms and escape routes is an essential part of technical fire protection. People can only escape or be rescued if the danger from smoke and toxic fire gases is averted. Smoke and heat extraction systems (SHEVS) is the umbrella term used in accordance with VKF 2015 for all smoke extraction and smoke control systems.

Smoke extraction with fire department ventilation (SHEVS)

This includes smoke and heat extraction systems with manual or automatic exhaust openings for use with fire department ventilators. This type of system can be used in garages, halls, stairwells or shafts.

Smoke extraction with natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators (NRWA) 

Natural smoke and heat exhaust ventilators are permanently installed systems that become effective in the event of a fire due to the resulting thermal buoyancy and dissipate smoke and heat to the outside in a controlled manner using automatic outflow and downstream openings.

Smoke extraction with mechanical smoke and heat exhaust ventilators (MRWA)

If the rooms are high or protected by a sprinkler system, the missing thermal energy must be replaced by fans. Mechanical smoke and heat extraction systems are permanently installed devices that use fans and air vents to dissipate smoke and heat outside in a controlled manner in the event of a fire.
