Waterjet technology
High-pressure waterjet cutting is an alternative and complementary cutting method to traditional mechanical and thermal processes. An oil-hydraulic pump generates the necessary oil operating pressure (200 bar), which is transferred to the water via an oscillating oil/water cylinder at a ratio of 20:1.
Innovative process, efficient production
Waterjet cutting is particularly effective where conventional processes only deliver inadequate quality. There is no additional work due to subsequent processing or lower process speeds. As neither gases nor vapors are produced during waterjet cutting, the process is also safe, clean and environmentally friendly.
Advantages of the waterjet cutting processPrecise contour creation (accuracy of 0.1 mm possible)
Good cutting quality
The water jet also cuts different material layers
Hardly any heat input into the material to be cut (as the cutting process is mechanical) The maximum temperature can be approx. 60 °C. The structure of the material is not affected by this
.
Conductive and non-conductive, hard and soft materials can be cut (e.g. wood, plastic, leather, rubber, aluminum, glass, ceramic, stone, paper, etc.)
Can be used in combination with a CAD / CAM system
The water jet ensures that the chips do not "float" through the air
Material thicknesses of up to 150 mm can be cut
