Officina della Ghiaia was founded in Lugano in early 2013 from the experience of more than half a century in the sand mining industry in the Milan area.

In fact, from the long-standing tradition of the Trezzano Quarry, which has been among the first sand producers in the Milanese area since the 1960s, the company's passion and know-how is transferred.

Over the years, the acquisition of additional quarries such as Ronchetto and Trecate, and the construction of various waste treatment plants such as the one in Limbiate made it one of the leading companies in the sector.

FUNCTION OF NATURAL INERTS

Officina Della Ghiaia specializes in natural aggregate supply and the sale of aggregates. It is also engaged in the recovery and recycling of aggregates from construction sites and obtained from the demolition of buildings. The natural aggregates are of the highest quality, obtained with the utmost respect for the environment, and provided with CE marking.

Continuous modernization of screening and washing plants has enabled Officina Della Ghiaia to arrive at natural aggregates  "in perfect curve" suitable to meet the most restrictive specifications. The inert materials are ideal for making high-strength concretes.

SMALTS

The disposals division of Officina Della Ghiaia is dedicated to disposal of rubble and construction waste. It also carries out the recovery and recycling of clean materials from construction sites and handles the overseas disposal of waste materials that cannot be recycled in Switzerland, paying special attention to the redevelopment of areas affected by mining.

The company also offers a service for disposal and processing of aggregatesdirectly on the construction site, facilitating and speeding up road transport of these materials.

Products that cannot be reused in Switzerland are sent to treatment plants in Italy for the same 100% complete recycling process as demolition rubble.

WASTE AND DEMOLITION

Supported by an excellent fleet of excavators, which includes "mini" (16 q.), "big" (370 q.) and "Demolition" (22m) vehicles, Officina Della Ghiaia realizes excavation and demolition  "turnkey" in a very short time and in compliance with the strictest regulations currently in force, also ensuring respect for the environment and operating with a view to the redevelopment of the area being excavated.

The machines, all equipped with an excavation bucket, demolition hammer and grapple, make it possible to intervene in the most diverse situations, both on small and larger construction sites.

Officina Della Ghiaia also carries out projects for special demolitions and top-down excavations making use of special machinery equipped with long booms.

The company conducts an inspection and draws up an ad hoc bid depending on the type of excavated material.
