Stiftung TBB Schweiz

The purpose of the privately financed TBB Switzerland Foundation is to protect and promote the interests of animals and animal welfare. We support the general public and authorities in matters relating to animal welfare. Our main task is to protect all animals from suffering, poor husbandry and abuse. We want to help ensure that animals are respected and valued for their own sake and with respect for their dignity. The foundation also offers practical services for pet owners and people without animals and runs the animal shelter on the Birs river.

The foundation runs the largest animal shelter in Switzerland, which accommodates up to 400 animals, and fulfills important charitable tasks. It manages the cantonal lost and found animal registration office for the cantons of Basel-Stadt and Basel-Landschaft.

The foundation's employees are committed to the welfare of animals in need 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.
