The 'Studio für Gesang und Bewegung' will be located in the Dreispitzquartier in Basel from November 2014. Three different methods are offered at Leimgrubenweg 9 on the 3rd floor: Singing lessons, AlexanderTechnik and GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® training. Singing lessons and Alexander Technique sessions  usually take place as part of private lessons or individual sessions. GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® training sessions can be attended in private or group lessons.

Singing lessons: Everyone can learn to sing!

I am happy to teach beginners, slightly advanced singers, choir singers and other interested parties! Musicality and vocal talent are desirable, but not necessary. The important thing is that you are motivated. At the beginning, you have the best chance of success if you come to lessons every week and practise regularly at home. Previous musical training is useful, but not necessary. Visit my singing studio in Basel for a free trial lesson.

You can expand your vocal possibilities with singing technique. By learning to use your body as a support, you will gain vocal volume, range, flexibility, color, condition, etc. The method mainly benefits classical singing, i.e. opera, song and concert literature. But the technique also provides a solid basis for pop, musical singing, etc. and helps to keep the voice healthy. The singing technique also helps people who become tired or even hoarse when speaking in their everyday working life. By using this technique, you will enjoy singing and speaking even more!

 

 

GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® Training®: strength, coordination, flexibility

GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® Training® is an active body workout that trains strength, coordination and flexibility. The focus is on movements of the spine in all possible directions. The movements are fluid and creative. The method is strongly inspired by yoga, dance, tai chi and sport. The training opens the meridians, releases tension and allows the body's energy to flow again. The two methods can also have a therapeutic effect on problems with the musculoskeletal system.

The GYROTONIC® method is usually practiced with the GYROTONIC® PTCU device in private or group lessons. In addition, there are the special equipment training devices ARCHWAYTM, GYROTONER® , JSB® and LEU®.

GYROKINESIS® training takes place sitting on a chair, standing or in various positions on a mat; in private or group lessons (3-5 people).

The Alexander Technique uses people's mental abilities and conscious decision-making power to make everyday movements easier, more coordinated, pain-free, more efficient, more conscious and more enjoyable. It is aimed at all people who want to improve their movement habits in everyday life, regardless of whether they are suffering from pain, want to perform or are simply interested in personal development. The method is particularly recommended for musicians.
