Plasterer
Plasterer, (formerly stuccoer) (Italian-French) also known as Gipser (old job title in southern Germany), is the job title for a building craftsman working in interior finishing and on facades.

Plasterers plaster interior and exterior walls, produce lightweight walls and suspended false ceilings made of plasterboard (drywall) and Rabitz.

Another important field of work is the thermal insulation of buildings, e.g. with external thermal insulation composite systems.

The plasterer also produces stucco and processes it on the construction site. Creating stucco requires good training, a lot of experience and a sure instinct.

Stucco parts can be prefabricated in the workshop or created on site. Depending on the installation location on the building, a distinction is made between interior and exterior stucco.

The combination of classic stucco techniques with modern coating techniques and modern design offers suitable execution options for every building project today. Training as a plasterer takes 3 years and consists of: Apprenticeship in the company, inter-company courses and vocational school.
