Diving work

Since its founding by René Stephany and Karl Wild in 1972, Stephany und Wild AG, based in Basel, has been active in diving work throughout Switzerland and neighboring countries. The company has been managed by Serge Stephany, the second generation of the family, since 1999.

The diving work is carried out by a team of professional divers. Professional divers are specialized underwater construction workers. Their work includes installation, renovation, inspection, and cleaning, as well as cutting and welding. The divers are equipped with machines and tools, as well as photo and video equipment to document their work. The operations take place in summer and winter, mostly in rivers and lakes. The construction work below the waterline is carried out in accordance with EU safety regulations. While the diver is working underwater, he is connected to a second diver above water by an air supply and an intercom system.
