History of Selmani polissage

Self-employed since 2005, Selmani Kefli the manager has built up over 25 years of expertise in this field. He has been in charge of polishing for various companies in French-speaking Switzerland.

With him to support him in his daily tasks, a team of five polishers all excellently trained and professional work in the workshop. This team can grow to as many as 10 people at times to honor current orders.

Polishing precious or semi-precious metals calls for highly specific techniques, meticulousness, precision in gestures and uncommon know-how. Polishing is a very delicate craft that demands extreme precision. All polishing techniques are combined in this workshop: satin-finishing, microbiage, sandblasting to give a matte finish using sand and microbeads. Circular satin-finishing for watch backs, just as in leather goods, gives a satin finish and a polished top.

Thanks to various polishing techniques, it's possible to give different aspects to polished pieces. In the 130 m2 Selmani Polissage workshop, we polish watch parts in steel, stainless steel, titanium and precious metals, belt buckles, clasps for luggage etc...

Mostly we polish by hand, but we also use machines (polishing lathe, washing machines, inspection machines...).

Buckles, pushers, crowns, watch clasps are polished every day at Selmani Polissage. We also work for the luxury goods industry in the leather goods sector, polishing brass belt buckles that are treated with gold or gold-plated.
