Our practice uses CO2 lasers, dental microscopes, Cerec equipment, volumetric tomography, and digital radiography. In most cases, reconstructions are planned using three-dimensional digital techniques.
Prophylaxis and dental hygiene
Oral hygiene is essential for healthy teeth and for maintaining restorations in the long term. Our staff's hygiene sessions aim to remove bacterial plaque and tartar. In addition, patients are instructed on how to maintain proper hygiene at home.
Conservative
Conservative treatment aims to eliminate carious lesions, replace old, inadequate fillings, and adequately reconstruct the tooth using composite resins. Modern composites come in a wide range of colors, so the filling blends in perfectly with the treated tooth.
Fixed prosthetics (Cerec)
Reconstruction of severely damaged teeth using modern computerized technology, which consists of taking an optical impression and milling the prosthesis directly on the patient. The treatment can be performed in a single session and traditional impression taking is no longer necessary. This technology is suitable for manufacturing:
Endodontics
Root canal treatment is necessary when tooth decay is so advanced that it causes inflammation of the tooth or following trauma. The nerve (pulp) is removed, the root canal is disinfected and sealed with special materials. The tooth is then reconstructed to its original shape.
Periodontology
The tissue supporting the tooth can also develop conditions that compromise its stability and cause pain. Periodontal treatment consists of removing the infected tissue, initially with hygiene sessions, followed by targeted surgical procedures. In special cases, lasers may be used. Gum recession at the neck of the teeth can be covered surgically.
Implantology
Under local anesthesia, one or more titanium screws are inserted into the jawbone to replace the roots of missing teeth. After the necessary healing period, prosthetic devices are fixed to the implants. Implants are also recommended for stabilizing removable prostheses.
In our practice, we only use materials produced by companies with decades of experience, tested in international studies, which confirm their quality and reliability.
Oral surgery
Removal of irreparably damaged teeth and poorly positioned wisdom teeth, periodontal surgery, treatment of soft tissue diseases, apical resections on teeth with infectious diseases.
Laser
The CO2 laser allows for the ablation of infected gums, the removal of labial or lingual frenula, the removal of fibromas, and the treatment of herpes, canker sores, or hypersensitive necks. It significantly reduces bleeding, pain, and healing time.
Digital volumetric tomography
Complete three-dimensional visualization of dental and bone structures for better diagnosis of pathologies. It is also an important aid in planning surgical and implantology procedures. In ideal cases, it makes it possible to insert implants without surgical incisions.
Dental microscopy
For greater visibility and precision in treatments. The microscope allows us to identify problems that are otherwise difficult to see with the naked eye, particularly in surgery and endodontics.
Removable prosthetics
This is a valid solution for replacing large segments of missing teeth. It can consist of a classic full denture, but can also be fixed for greater stability to the remaining teeth or dental implants using special attachments.
Pediatric dentistry
Prevention and dental care, preliminary orthodontic assessment in children and adolescents. If orthodontic treatment is deemed necessary, the patient is referred to specialists in the area.
Computerized anesthesia
For greater patient comfort. The computerized system (The Wand) dispenses the anesthetic in small drops and allows for more targeted anesthesia for fillings and extractions of baby teeth. The needle is thinner and the injection is therefore less painful.
Conscious sedation
Nitrous oxide was already used in the 19th century for its analgesic effect in dental treatment and general surgery. It is now used in lower concentrations to allow the patient a more relaxing treatment. The mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen is inhaled through a nasal mask. It is also very suitable for treating children.
Myoarthropathies
Diagnosis and treatment of headaches and facial, muscular, or joint pain in the masticatory system. Dr. Lorenzo Reali was a university assistant at the Orofacial Pain Clinic at the University of Zurich (Prof. Sandro Palla).
