Berg is an attractive residential community located between Kreuzlingen and Weinfelden. Our village is home to between 3,400 and 3,500 people, who greatly appreciate its geographical location with fantastic views of the Alpstein and Säntis mountains, as well as Oberthurgau and even the Glarus region. Located at the foot of the eastern slope of the Ottenberg, Berg has excellent transport links, including a comprehensive road network and even two train stations, from where you can usually reach the hubs of Weinfelden and Kreuzlingen quickly every half hour.

Berg is not only at the top geographically, but also in terms of its overall infrastructure and social aspects. Numerous clubs and institutions cater to individual needs in religious, sporting, and other cultural areas. Individualists also have many leisure options open to them: there are numerous hiking trails around the Ottenberg that are well worth exploring...

 

The happiest Swiss people live in Berg!

A 2015 survey by "Nextsuisse" found that the happiest Swiss people live in Berg. With an overall score of 5.25, Berg/TG ranks at the top of the Swiss communities evaluated. We are, of course, very proud of this.

Many commercial enterprises are based here, providing products and services as well as jobs. The VSBB elementary school community offers basic education up to and including the 9th grade. The school offers a wide range of courses and is of excellent quality.
