The Swiss Society for Emergency and Rescue Medicine SGNOR has been in existence since November 23, 1990, initially as an association of prehospital physicians (Association of Swiss Emergency Physicians VSN).
On March 11, 1995 the foundation stone was laid in Bern for the transformation of the VSN into a specialist society. After consultation with the members, the society was renamed on July 1, 1995 Swiss. Society for Emergency and Rescue Medicine SGNOR
In recent years, the SGNOR has become a recognized point of contact for questions relating to the entire spectrum of emergency medicine, be it pre-hospital or in-hospital emergency medicine, but also disaster medicine. She hopes for constructive, enriching cooperation with all those involved in the rescue chain and the authorities - to improve emergency medicine in the interests of emergency patients!
