SEV - Gewerkschaft des Verkehrspersonals – Contacts & Location
Description
Trade union work
First and foremost, the SEV represents the interests of its members vis-à-vis companies. One basic idea plays an important role here: as a collective, as a trade union, it is easier to defend ourselves and fight for fair conditions in the workplace than on our own. This is how we work to ensure that working conditions are fair and safe for everyone.
In order to achieve this, we not only conduct negotiations with employers, but also engage in political lobbying at national and international level. We want politicians to create framework conditions that enable security and prosperity for employees. The protection of jobs is particularly important to us.But the SEV doesn't just look after the "collective": locomotive drivers and travel agency specialists, shunters and aircraft technicians, streetcar drivers, steamboat captains, administrative staff and aerial cableway specialists - we have contact persons for each professional group who support members in the respective sector.Because the individual demands on the SEV are as different as the professions: further training, legal protection, benefits, career planning, conflict resolution ... Here and in many other areas, SEV members can rely on the help and services of their union.
The union's key concerns are the following policy areas: Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) policy, trade union policy, transport policy and social policy.
