What does a contact lens fitting involve?
- Anamnesis or recording of health and eye condition, visual requirements at work and for hobbies, previous experience with glasses and contact lenses
- Clinical examination of the eye: eyelids, conjunctiva, cornea, tear film, iris, crystalline lens, vitreous body, retina with optic nerve
- Determination of the optimal correction and measurement of various visual functions
- Testing the compatibility of contact lenses
- Evaluation of the optimal contact lens system or determination of individual parameters: Shape, material, coating, replacement interval, care products
- Instruction regarding insertion, removal and handling of contact lenses and care products (hygiene)
