Atelier Irmak was founded in 1985 as a specialist store for carpet restoration in Bern's old town. Thanks to our in-depth experience and high-quality work, we quickly established a good reputation beyond the borders of the country. In 1991 we opened a gallery with a small, carefully selected collection. Thanks to our uncompromising quality standards, we were able to gain the trust of renowned clients, were commissioned to restore museum pieces and build up collections and were entrusted with valuations by private collectors and auction houses. With the takeover of the renowned Wirz carpet store at the beginning of 2000, we were able to fulfill a dream and move into one of the most beautiful locations in the old town with our gallery.
