Description
Tick different - watchmaking delicacies in the UNESCO-protected old town
Or our Bijouterie Maegli in Solothurn and Olten
Our hearts beat at 28,800 vibrations per hour and Möbius 9010 (watch oil for lubricating the escapement) flows through our veins. We are infected with the watch virus. But we don't want to fight it, we want to indulge our passion for watchmaking.
We have put together an exciting and unique collection of watches from smaller, mostly independent manufacturers and creators. For lovers of vintage watches, we have an extensive range of well-kept watches that you will no longer find in any collection book. And even after your purchase, our highly qualified watchmakers will take care of your favorite pieces in our certified workshop.Welcome to Uhrsachen in the Kramgasse in Bern.180° AGAINST THE TREND
One of the biggest trends in the watch industry at the moment is verticalization. This means that watch manufacturers are taking everything into their own hands, from production and distribution to the sale of their products to the end customer. This leads to magnificent stores filled with hundreds of watches with no possibility of comparison with other brands. They can be found all over the world and yet they always look the same. Not so keen on this trend? Neither do we. But it helps us to position ourselves in the 180° opposite niche.
True to our credo "Tick different." we have put together the selection of our watches.
About us
A family business with tradition
The watchmaking foundations were laid by Dominik Maegli's two great-grandfathers. Jakob HIltebrand-Moser, whose years of travel as a watchmaker took him as far as Budapest in 1897 and who set up his own watchmaking business with a jewelry store in Andelfingen in 1904, and Meinrad Maegli, who opened the Maegli jewelry store in Olten in 1910.
For the fourth-generation family business, the move to Bern was the perfect complement to the existing watch and jewelry stores in Olten and Solothurn.
