Description
Lignocalor AG
Wood procurement
We procure the required wood as follows:
- Forest wood: from various forest owners, timber marketing organizations and forestry companies in our catchment area
- Waste wood: from suppliers in the Bern region
- Our own wood
- Sawmill wood: from sawmills in the Bern region
- Landscape maintenance wood: purchase within a radius of 30 km depending on supply
We conclude 10-year contracts with the forest and waste wood suppliers
Wood processing
In the green wood sector, we currently work with six wood chipping partners together. They all have modern chipping units that are mounted on trucks and special vehicles. A total of eight vehicles in various designs are available. This means that all technical options are available for the rapid completion of chipping jobs.
The recycling companies supply us with shredded waste wood of the required quality. The sawmill wood is either delivered or we collect it. The form also varies: The wood comes to us raw, shredded or chopped.Wood logistics
With our IT systems Net-Logistik and WinforstPro32 we can record all timber suppliers in our catchment area and coordinate their deliveries.
The wood is allocated according to ecological and economic criteria. We also continuously monitor the transport routes.
The timber and storage data is passed on electronically to the timber processors and transporters. All invoicing is also carried out electronically using the credit note procedure.
Wood delivery
Thanks to our logistics partners, we can supply all existing silo filling types. The modern vehicle fleet used for this is constantly being updated. We can drop, fill or blow in between 20 SRm and 80 SRm of wood per delivery
Our Rehhag processing site guarantees a high level of supply security: with the wood reserves available there, we can supply our customers even in exceptional situations, for example when road conditions are difficult in winter.
Catchment area
We obtain the energy wood for our customers from the following regions:
- Bern
- Bernese Jura (Tavannes, Saint-Imier)
- Biel
- Burgdorf
- Freiburg
- Murten
- Solothurn
For a good ecological balance, we keep transport routes as short as possible. The average transport distance for forest wood is 33 km for the wood-fired power plant at the Forsthaus energy center. For the remaining plants, the procurement radius is a maximum of 10 km. The waste wood comes from the Bern area.
You can find the various locations of the wood-fired heating systems we supply here.- German
