Società Elettrica Sopracenerina SA (SES)

Società Elettrica Sopracenerina SA (SES) supplies electricity to around 85,000 customers in 38 municipalities in Ticino and four municipalities in the lower Mesolcina and Calanca valleys.

Most of the energy comes from Azienda Elettrica Ticinese and a small part from its own power plants (Giumaglio and Ticinetto) and independent producers; as regards the Graubünden area, it is purchased from the Union of Municipalities for Energy.

The Locarno headquarters houses the management, administrative services, financial services, and technical services for Locarno and the valleys, while the Biasca branch houses the technical services and some commercial services for the northern area.
