Notary course

3 hours of theory in self-study
(e-learning on www.nothelfer-online.ch)
plus 7 hours of practical course attendance

The eNotary course is divided into 3 hours of self-study and a 7-hour practical course attendance. You work through the theory independently on the online platform www.nothelfer-online.ch. After successfully completing the theory, you will attend the 7-hour practical course. Under the expert guidance of instructors, you will learn and practise the application of patient assessment and life-saving emergency measures.

Prerequisites for attending the course

• Sufficient knowledge of German

• For the eNHK practical course: Bring your e-learning certificate

• For the eNHK practical course: Passing the short theory petition on the practical day

Traffic awareness course - VKU

Participation in the course requires possession of a learner's license.
The road safety certificate is required to register for the practical driving test. The revised driving license regulations adopted by the Federal Council at the end of 2018 will come into force on 1 January 2021. Traffic knowledge courses (VKU) completed from this date are valid for an unlimited period of time.
Persons who already hold a category A or B driving license or subcategories A1 or B1 are exempt from the course.

What you need to know about driving

PW trailer training (BE)

Driving license only with Cat. BE

• The trailer training/test is required if the total weight of the trailer exceeds 750 kg and the total towing weight is over 3,500 kg. 

• The Cat. BE is also required if the total weight of the trailer exceeds the unladen weight of the towing vehicle.

Practical BE test: requirements, what do you need to be able to do?

• correct coupling and uncoupling

• driving straight ahead in reverse for approx. two trailer lengths

• driving backwards along a bend

• shifting sideways in reverse by at least one vehicle width

• . one vehicle width

• backing up to a loading ramp or similar facility

• turning

• securing the vehicle

Professional passenger transport

To obtain the permit for professional passenger transport BPT with category B, C, B1, C1 and F vehicles (you may then have a maximum of 8 + 1 seat), proceed as follows:

1. Fill out application form for learner's permit (has driving instructor or MFK)
2. For category B, B1 and F, receive request from MFK for medical aptitude test from medical examiner
(list of medical examiners has driving instructor or MFK)
3. Practice questionnaire on PC
4. Take theory test ARV 2 (not necessary for owners of cat. C, C1, D, D1)
5. Register for practical driving test (by driving instructor)
6. Practical driving test on MFK (duration: 50 minutes)

No practical driving test for:
     - Cat C holders upon written request
     - Cat C1 holders, provided that the additional theory test was taken after 1. 11. 2003.
     - Cat D or D1 holders.
