The psychiatric outpatient clinic of the PB at the Spitalzentrum Biel offers a broad and modern range of medical-psychiatric, psychotherapeutic and psychological services. Patients who come to the emergency department with psychiatric problems will find adequate and prompt outpatient treatment here.

A consultation and liaison psychiatry service run by the specialist staff of the PBB is available for the emergency department and patients of the Spitalzentrum Biel. A competent team of doctors, psychologists, social workers and nurses are available for this purpose. interprofessional cooperation has a positive effect on the success of the treatment.

The Biel Crisis Intervention Unit is consistently open and offers space for 20 patients aged 18 and over.

A competent team of experienced doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers and specialist therapists is on hand for inpatient treatment, which usually lasts 7 days. The therapy is individually tailored and consists of therapeutic medical visits, care consultations, advice from the social services, painting therapy promoting personal skills and opportunities for change, promoting physical well-being through relaxation and exercise therapy, as well as couple and family discussions.
