The value of antique furniture

Crafted furniture has a historical and sentimental value in addition to its material value. This is just as true today as it was 300 years ago. A decision for antique furniture is also a decision for lasting value, attention to detail, continuity and against a consumer-oriented throwaway society. Antique furniture should be "lived in" and not necessarily seen purely as an investment. Restoration is important for all antique furniture. Improper treatment can massively reduce its value. When carried out professionally, however, it increases its value considerably.
