The PB psychiatric outpatient clinic at the Biel Hospital Center offers a wide and modern range of medical-psychiatric, psychotherapeutic, and psychological services.Patients who come to the emergency room with psychiatric problems will find adequate and prompt outpatient treatment here.

A consultation and liaison psychiatric service, operated by PBB specialists, is available for the emergency department and patients at the Biel Hospital Center. A competent team of doctors, psychologists, social workers, and nurses is available for this purpose. Interprofessional cooperation has a positive effect on the success of the treatment.

The Biel crisis intervention ward is consistently open and offers space for 20 patients aged 18 and over. A competent team of experienced doctors, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and specialist therapists is on hand for inpatient treatment, which usually lasts seven days. The therapy is individually tailored and consists of therapeutic doctor's visits, reference nursing discussions, counseling by social services, art therapy to promote personal skills and opportunities for change, promotion of physical well-being through relaxation and exercise therapy, as well as couple and family discussions.
