Learner's permits

What you need to know when applying for a learner's permit:

• You must be at least 18 years old. The learner's permit can be ordered at the earliest 60 days before your 18th birthday.
• The learner's permit will be issued once you have passed the theory test.
• The following must be enclosed with the application form:
  A completed eye test form certified by an optician; you can also use a certificate from your ophthalmologist;
  both of which must not be more than 6 months old.
• You will need a passport photo.
• Once issued, the learner's permit is valid for 24 months.
