The School for Individual Learning (S i L) was founded in 1994 and is a state-approved private school. We have also been offering full-day care since 1996. Our philosophy is based on the belief that every student is unique and needs individual support. We offer a flexible learning environment that is tailored to the strengths and needs of each student. Our goal is to develop students into independent, responsible individuals.

Our educational offerings:

• Primary school (grades 4 to 6):
  We offer individual support in small, heterogeneous classes. Lessons are tailored to the strengths and weaknesses of each child, giving every child a solid foundation for their future education. Independence and responsibility are specifically encouraged.

• Secondary school (grades 7 to 9, classes A, B, C):
  In secondary school, we offer differentiated instruction in mathematics, German, English, and French. Students choose the appropriate level that corresponds to their performance level. It is possible to switch between levels at any time. We also offer preparatory courses for high school as well as tutoring in all subjects.

• 3rd secondary A (10th school year) qualification:
  The 10th school year ends with the 3rd secondary school A qualification, which enables access to vocational training and further education. It is carried out in accordance with the requirements of Curriculum 21.

• Individual support:
  Our small classes (max. 12-14 students) allow for individual attention for each child. Differentiated learning methods give students room to develop according to their own needs.

• Montessori learning materials:
  Montessori materials promote independent learning and critical thinking. They help students to make learning content clear and understandable.

• Outdoor lessons:
  Once a week, lessons take place outdoors. Outdoor lessons promote practical learning, teamwork, and social skills. Nature serves as an extended classroom where theoretical content is applied in practice.

• Full-day care and meals:
  We offer healthy, balanced meals that are tailored to the needs of our students. After regular classes, we also offer supervised after-school care, during which students can complete their assignments or interact with others.

• ICT tools:
  Digital tools promote collaboration between students, teachers, and parents. They facilitate the learning process and support students' digital literacy.

• Learning jobs and participation:
  Students take on responsibility and actively contribute to everyday school life. They work on creative projects and can participate in school committees to strengthen the sense of community.

Our school is located near Zurich and Zug and is easily accessible by public transport and by car. Two S-Bahn lines (S5, S14) and several post bus routes connect us with the surrounding area. The A3 and A4 motorways also offer quick access.
