Traditional Chinese Medicine
I traditionally understand Chinese medicine (TCM) as comprehensive support for the clients entrusted to us. Working with needles (acupuncture), hands (tuina) or herbs (phytotherapy) is only one part of the whole therapy. It is the last, but not always the most important link in the whole process.
The process always begins with a conversation in which the therapist takes their time. A genuine, empathetic and non-judgmental (non-agitated) interest in the client's problems plays at least as important a role as the precise analysis and treatment of the health disorder according to the criteria of TCM.A therapist who only sticks needles, works manually or prescribes medicines will usually miss the target. Often, the causes or correlations of a health disorder only become apparent during a detailed consultation. Depending on the problem, the time required for this can vary considerably.
During the process, it is also important to keep reviewing progress and changes and to incorporate current observations into the next treatments. Practical instructions and supportive tips can also help to heal or at least alleviate symptoms. In my experience, these are the most important and best prerequisites for successful therapy.Special areas of expertise:
- Movement apparatus (low back and shoulder pain, pelvic misalignments, tendonitis), activity and rest (inner restlessness, tension, insomnia, dizziness)
- Work and profession (overwork, anxiety, stress, burnout),
- Environment (allergies, hypersensitivity),
- Internal organs (digestive disorders, breathing difficulties, palpitations)
- Women's issues (menstrual disorders, infertility, pregnancy support, birth preparation)
- And much more.
Applications:
- Acupuncture
- Tuina (Chinese manual therapy)
- Cupping, moxa (heat treatment), gua sha (drainage technique)
- Qi Gong
- PRT (pain relief taping)
- Hypnosis (trance work)
