Therapy Center for Complementary Medicine Brig

The therapy center for complementary medicine, located directly at Brig train station, was founded in 1998 by Yann Jossen. Twelve therapists with very different forms of complementary medicine therapy now work at the center - with the aim of finding the right form of therapy for every patient.

In the more than 20 years of its existence, the Therapy Center for Complementary Medicine has developed into a competence center for alternative and complementary treatment methods. From headaches and foot and back pain to emotional and psychological complaints, the Therapy Center for Complementary Medicine treats a wide variety of complaints

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)

In the beginning, the center was called "Practice for Traditional Chinese Medicine Yann Jossen". Traditional Chinese Medicine is a form of medicine that developed in China more than 2000 years ago and originally spread throughout East Asia.

The main therapeutic methods of Chinese medicine include Chinese drug therapy, acupuncture and moxibustion (heating of acupuncture points). Together with massage techniques such as Tui-Na/An-Mo and Shiatsu, movement exercises such as Qigong and Taiji and Chinese dietetics, these methods are often referred to as the "five pillars of Chinese therapy".

Over the years, we have steadily expanded and extended our range of services in response to demand, but also thanks to our knowledge of the expertise of the treatment approaches of traditional European medicine and the importance of exercise and sport. This has resulted in a synthesis of different therapeutic approaches, which we have also integrated into our local mentality. However, traditional Chinese medicine remains the focus of our work.
