Therapy Center for Complementary Medicine Brig
The Therapy Center for Complementary Medicine, located directly at Brig train station, was founded in 1998 by Yann Jossen. Twelve therapists now work at the center, offering a wide range of complementary medicine therapies with the aim of finding the right form of therapy for each patient.
In the more than 20 years since it was founded, the Therapy Center for Complementary Medicine has developed into a center of excellence for alternative and complementary treatment methods. From headaches to foot and back pain to emotional and psychological complaints, the Therapy Center for Complementary Medicine treats a wide variety of symptoms.
The therapists continuously expand their knowledge and skills through intensive professional exchange. With their broad background of experience, they offer a valuable complement to conventional medicine. You can register for a non-binding initial consultation at any time.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
The center was originally called "Yann Jossen Practice for Traditional Chinese Medicine." Traditional Chinese medicine is a form of healing that developed in China more than 2,000 years ago and originally spread throughout East Asia.
The therapeutic methods of Chinese medicine primarily include Chinese herbal medicine, acupuncture, and moxibustion (warming of acupuncture points). Together with massage techniques such as Tui-Na/An-Mo and Shiatsu, movement exercises such as Qigong and Taiji, and Chinese nutritional science, these methods are often referred to as the "five pillars of Chinese therapy."
Over the years, we have continuously expanded and broadened our range of services in response to demand, but also thanks to our knowledge of the benefits of traditional European medicine and the importance of exercise and sport. This has resulted in a synthesis of different therapeutic approaches, which we have also integrated into our local culture. However, traditional Chinese medicine remains the focus of our work.
