History

In 1923, Severin Borer-Schmidlin founded the Severin Borer painting business. The first workshop was located on Otto Meier's property on Passwangstrasse, and another painting location was at Josef Schmid's in Neumatt Büsserach. In 1933, the company founder built a residential house with a workshop in Niederfeld. In 1964, the business was handed over to Severin Borer Jr. and Iwan Borer. After careful planning and implementation, the current commercial building with workshop, storage rooms, office, paint shop, and two apartments was ready for occupancy in 1974. Since 1986, the painting and paint business has been successfully continued by the two brothers Gerold and Dieter Borer as third-generation owners. In 1992, the company was converted into a stock corporation. In August 2010, Stefan Borer, son of Dieter Borer, joined the company. This means that the fourth generation is now working in the business. Stefan Borer attended the master painter school in Zurich for three years and graduated with a federal diploma.
In 2013, the company celebrated its 90th anniversary. The company currently employs 10 people, including one apprentice painter and one intern.


Our team is very flexible

Particular flexibility is required when moving house. The apartment has been cleared out. Suddenly you can see where the pictures and wall decorations were hung. The apartment therefore needs to be repainted immediately. The new tenant is "already at the door." No problem, because our team is very flexible. Put us to the test!
