As a SPITEX company, it is important to us to understand people, to support and accompany them in maintaining their health, on the way to health, in illness or in death.
We not only work with older people, we also like to look after young families in the event of birth, accident or illness.

Assessment of needs

We clarify at home how much and what help is useful and necessary, what and how much help relatives can provide, what aids could be used to make things easier, etc. The aim of a needs assessment is to provide care at home as holistically and economically as possible (neither over- nor underprovision).
This needs assessment together with the medical order (registration form) are a prerequisite for the costs to be covered by the health insurance companies. The period of validity is 3, maximum 6 months and can be repeated.

General basic care for clients who are unable to carry out activities themselves, such as assistance with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, eating and drinking, binding legs, applying compression stockings, bedding, positioning, movement exercises, mobilization, decubitus prophylaxis, measures to prevent or remedy treatment-related damage to the skin, assistance with oral care.

Treatment care

Treatment care is all the care prescribed by a doctor that a nurse also provides in a hospital: from injections to infusions, from simple dressing changes to the care and treatment of complicated and poorly healing wounds; from stoma care to the application of compresses, measuring vital signs (blood pressure, pulse), determining blood sugar, preparing and administering medication.

General household chores for clients who are unable to carry out these activities themselves or require assistance, such as:

• Maintenance cleaning (daily/weekly sweeping)
• Major maintenance cleaning = work that exceeds the normal weekly sweep such as "spring cleaning", shampooing carpets, emptying and cleaning cupboards, window cleaning, etc. only after consultation with the Spitex manager. This work is charged at a higher rate
• Sorting, washing and ironing weekly laundry
• Shopping
• Cooking / washing up
• Tidying up
• Flower and plant care at home (without rough gardening work)
• Small mending jobs
• Clothes and shoe care
• Care for pets

Care

• Doing household chores together
• Eating together during daytime assignments or when working over lunchtime
• Time to listen and sympathize
• Help with simple activities such as writing, telephoning and reading
• Walking
• Relief for relatives
• In exceptional cases, accompaniment to the doctor or other urgent commissions
• Childcare

All this work should, if possible, be carried out in cooperation with the client
