Founded in Caslano, on the shores of Lake Lugano, Frubau Company specializes in the production and installation of verandas, conservatories, mobile roofing and glazing, made to measure, with strictly first-rate materials and all Swiss technology and precision. Frubau products are able to combine solidity and reliability with the need to offer original and customized structures, features that make each work a unique piece.

From the very beginning, the Frunz family, which started the business in 1966, has been passionately committed to finding state-of-the-art solutions for enclosing open spaces, in the context of private homes as well as public places and commercial establishments. Having quickly become a leader in the veranda industry in the Canton of Ticino, Frubau now presents itself as a Company with a solid tradition, thanks to the many years of experience behind it, but, at the same time, as a modern reality that looks resolutely to the future.

Currently, the headquarters, expanded and renovated over time, with a view to integration with the surrounding environment, has an indoor display area of more than 250 m2 and an outdoor one of 100 m2; it can also boast of an innovative production line, as well as highly qualified personnel, composed of experts in the field in continuous professional development, able to skillfully combine creativity and functionality.

All year round and in every season, for maximum relaxation and living comfort.

Frubau conservatories, because they are carefully custom-designed, can be made in an infinite range of shapes, styles, accessories and curtains. The profiles, with a streamlined and modern design, are powder-coated and can be rendered in various shades, even two-tone, using different colors for the inside and outside.

The aluminum structures with thermal break ensure perfect insulation: this is because through the different glazing solutions, which can be opened as desired, it is possible to capture the sun's rays and incorporate heat during the day. In this way, there is a considerable advantage in terms of energy savings. At the same time, the choice of aluminum ensures the long life of the product and ensures that the required maintenance is minimal.

The curtain walls can be made of chamber glass with Ug 1.1 gas (K=1.0), reflective insulating glass (to prevent the greenhouse effect in summer) or aluminum insulated panels (blind). The assembly method has been developed for quick and easy, high-quality assembly, thanks in part to gutters and water drains that are fully integrated into the structure.

Historically, the veranda was born as a response to man's need for an additional room that could be used, at first, as a lemon house, and, later, as a greenhouse. Today, it is the ideal choice for those who wish to make the best use of the space in their home, taking advantage of an outdoor environment that would otherwise remain unused, especially in the mid-seasons, due to bad weather.

The veranda thus becomes an atmospheric and comfortable corner, immersed in the nature of the garden, which can be lived in tranquility all year round, with friends and family; a room for study, relaxation and entertainment; or simply a shelter from water and temperature changes for pets.

The structure, made of monolithic aluminum profiles, has fully integrated gutters and drains. The infills are made of Ug 2.8 (K=2.9) normal chamber glass. Those for the roof, on the other hand, can be made of insulating (possibly reflective) glass, 32 mm transparent or opal honeycomb polycarbonate, or insulated (blind) panels. The maintenance required is really minimal and the product's lifespan practically infinite.

The Panoramline glazing system is Frubau's flagship product that has been awarded two European patents, the latest in 2011. Suitable for enclosing any type of terrace, balcony, loggia or veranda, the basic mechanism of locking the sashes is absolutely revolutionary: in fact, these are the only glazing units with independent panels, the sashes of which can be opened by means of 90° rotation, thus solving the annoying problem of cleaning the glass on the outer side.

The furnishing accessories are able to meet the most diverse needs of those who use them, with all the flexibility and functionality that distinguishes them. They are available in the best materials and a wide range of versions.

Aeration

Windows with vasistas, thanks to the practical inward opening system, have the advantage of ensuring the ventilation of the room in a simple and functional way. They are inserted in the highest part of the room, so as to optimize air circulation. Normally, two windows are required, to be placed on opposite sides. When it is not possible to equip the side walls with windows, the insertion of skylights on the roof is recommended for ventilation of the room at the top.

Ventilation

Frubau pays special attention to ventilation systems in order to ensure an optimal living climate.For this reason, the lower part of the windows, both fixed and opening, can be fitted with manual hinged ventilators. In the roof, on the other hand, extractor fans are inserted that capture air, thus allowing it to be recycled.

Lighting

Frubau has designed lighting systems with halogen spots to be inserted into the roof beams. The bulbs installed are 20- or 35-watt, low-voltage (12 V), to ensure greater safety.

Shade curtains

Roofing shading blinds: awnings or motorized exterior rolladen, interior pleated or "cloud" blinds.

Pleated mosquito nets
