Valérie Haas obtained a law degree in 2002, after studying at the universities of Lausanne and Basel.

She then completed a doctorate and published a thesis in 2005 on the subject of the liquidation of the matrimonial property regime (La créance de plus-value et la récompense variable dans le régime de la participation aux acquêts - articles 206 et 209 al. 3CC - Les éditions Schulthess).

She obtained her patent in 2008 and has been practicing as a notary in Chavannes-près-Renens since that same year in the following areas of activity:
