I attended compulsory school in Morbio Inferiore, the cantonal high school in Mendrisio obtaining the  scientific baccalaureate and the University of Law in Fribourg (1983/1987 - LLM with distinction "magna cum laude").

I have been married to Brunella since 1988 and father of Manrico (1990) and Mattia (1992).

I am a lawyer and notary public with cantonal patents of 1991 and 1993, respectively.

I have practiced law and notarization for more than twenty-five years and am registered in the cantonal register of attorneys, the Swiss Bar Association and the Canton Ticino Notary Association.
