Ergotherapy is a discipline that acts when the person (child, adult and elderly) presents frailty, due to a variety of reasons, in the performance of occupations. For the child, one thinks, for example, of psycho-motor or learning difficulties; for the adolescent, of frailty in social participation. In the adult, one identifies, for example, difficulties, caused by trauma, in carrying out one's occupation, while in the elderly one can identify weaknesses in maintaining the skills to carry out lifelong hobbies. ABC Ergotherapy is based on evidence-based and person-, family-, and community-centered approaches (school, workplace, and leisure). It actively collaborates with the person's support network (family, physicians, teachers, physical therapists, psychologists, ...) to achieve treatment goals. The goal of the profession is to enable people to participate in daily activities. Therapies are reimbursed, with medical certificate, by social insurance.
