our maissen ovens are unique pieces with tradition. because ever since egon maissen from chur founded maissenofen in 1987, metal has been his choice. he has perfected and, so to speak, revolutionized the "ordinary" metal ovens. over the years, he has created countless ovens and cheminées as well as grilling stations and cooking combinations. metal is almost as versatile as life itself - smooth, rough, shiny, matt, rusty, simple, luxurious.... all ovens bear egon's signature and every customer can be sure of owning a unique piece. the stoves and cheminées can be traditional but also ultra-modern and are always designed to suit the customer's wishes and the room. our design metal stoves are handmade and this is how egon and gian andri bearth from cumpadials met a few years ago. gian andri was immediately hooked and so, after his metalworking apprenticeship, he did an apprenticeship as a stove maker. the men, who are bursting with ideas, now work hand in hand and egon is happy to pass on his knowledge. since january 2021, gian andri has been allowed to follow in egon's footsteps and take over the management of maissenofen. however, egon will certainly not retire completely, because traveling the world is wonderful, but metal will never lose its appeal either. please scroll down to our pictures and don't hesitate to contact us.
