Geothermal heating has been among the most economical solutions for some years.


It involves using a heat pump (PAC) to pump heat from the ground to heat the home.


Every day, the sun heats the earth and this heat is stored naturally in the ground. Geothermal heating draws on these stored calories to heat your home in a highly efficient and environmentally-friendly way. Geothermal heating is based on the installation of collectors in the ground, connected to a heat pump system (PAC) which is no more and no less than a refrigerator in reverse, itself connected to devices for distributing the heat obtained in the home, underfloor heating or radiators.


The heat pump is a thermodynamic device that works by exchanging heat. It uses a refrigerant whose main property is that it boils at low temperature and turns into a gas. The change of state from liquid to gas enables the calories captured in the ground to be transferred to the house. The gas is heated by compression. It transfers its heat to a secondary water circuit that circulates through the home's radiators or underfloor heating. When the heat exchange is complete, the cooled gas reverts to liquid form and returns to the circuit.


Tinsmithing
