Ospedale Regionale di Bellinzona e Valli, Acquarossa - EOC

The Acquarossa site of the Bellinzona and Valleys Regional Hospital has a medical ward with beds for acute medicine and acute geriatrics. It also provides the region with initial diagnostic and therapeutic services through its emergency department.

Located in Val di Blenio, the Acquarossa site of the Bellinzona and Valleys Regional Hospital is part of the healthcare network between the Bellinzona Regional Hospital and the hospitals in Faido and Acquarossa, which was established in 2000. In collaboration with the Bellinzona Regional Hospital, it therefore provides basic hospital care to the region's inhabitants.

The healthcare services offered complement those provided by the other institutions that make up the EOC multi-site hospital, thus guaranteeing one of the distinctive features of the Cantonal Hospital Authority: a multidisciplinary approach and uniform patient care.

The Acquarossa site of the Bellinzona and Valli Regional Hospital is therefore, like all the other healthcare facilities that make up the EOC multi-site hospital, a point of access not only to the individual institution, but to the entire EOC hospital structure and the specializations it offers.

The most complex cases and those occurring between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. are handled in close collaboration with the Emergency Department and the relevant departments of the San Giovanni Hospital. Visiting hours are from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
