The company was founded in 1982 under the name of pompes funèbres Alpha SA.

In 1987, Mr Jean-Paul Blanchet took over the company, and a few years later was joined by his daughter and son-in-law Evelyne and Philippe Wiesmann-Blanchet.

The 3 partners, who have always wanted to maintain a family identity, chose in 1999 to rename it after the directors. Since that day, the company has been called pompes funèbres Blanchet et Wiesmann SA.

Mr. Wiesmann has held a federal funeral director's certificate since 2000.

In 2015, they were joined by Loïc Wiesmann, and in 2020 by Fanny Besson-Wiesmann, children of Evelyne and Philippe who represent the third generation and the continuity of the family business.

As for the former name, it has been retained to found the company Alpha Prévoyance Funéraire.

 Mr Philippe Wiesmann has held a federal funeral director's certificate since 2000 and Loïc Wiesmann since 2019.
