The Bobillier family welcomes you to Damvant in a friendly atmosphere

Located a few hundred meters from the border with France, in the center of the village of Damvant, the Restaurant de la Poste will soon be celebrating its 200th anniversary. Formerly a coaching inn for stagecoaches running between Switzerland and France, this building was, for many years, a beacon for the village.

In 2001, the Bobillier family gave it a new lease of life, taking over the restaurant, grocery store and gas station.

At the Restaurant de la Poste, depending on the season and special events, you'll find friendly, family-style cuisine. At the helm of the kitchen, Frédéric Bobillier takes particular care to respect regional Ajoulot recipes and make his establishment a place to relax.

Regional, family-style cuisine in Damvant

The Restaurant de la Poste specializes in fried carp, with an on-site fish tank to guarantee the freshness of the fish. Fries are served as much as you like, accompanied by salad, bread and mayonnaise. The menu is adapted to suit the seasons and events, with special menus for holidays such as New Year's or the St. Martin's menu in November.

The restaurant is perfect for family or corporate celebrations, with bespoke menus available on request. Opening hours are Thursday to Sunday lunchtime, offering a variety of dishes such as jambon-frites, entrecôte de boeuf sauce Café de Paris, cheese fondue and much more. Ice creams, snacks and a delicious cheesecake are also available.

The Restaurant de la Poste has a brasserie room and a dining room, with flexible table arrangements to suit every occasion. In summer, guests can enjoy a large green space with a terrace, children's play area and petanque court. Reservations are recommended to secure a table and order special dishes.
