Description & special features
Take care of your body with alternative medicine.
Both preventive and curative, traditional Chinese medicine has been practiced in China for thousands of years. The human body is a microcosm, and traditional Chinese medicine aims to bring the Biao (external, surface) and Li (internal, deep), and therefore the entire body, into harmony.
Like Western medicine, traditional Chinese medicine is a complete medical system with its own tools and particular way of interpreting the causes of disease, making diagnoses, and understanding physiology.
Practices based on acupuncture, cupping, and Chinese pharmacopoeia are excellent ways to control, prevent, or eliminate the symptoms of many diseases.
Care
Acupuncture
By inserting needles into specific points, acupuncture restores the flow of blocked vital energy (Qi, breath). The needles used are sterile, come in several sizes, and are single-use.
Cupping
This method involves applying small cups to the skin. Negative pressure is created by lighting a cotton pad soaked in alcohol inside the container, which is then placed on specific areas of the body.
The patient feels no pain, only a sensation of pulling and warming of the skin.
Phytotherapy / Chinese pharmacopoeia
Phytotherapy / Chinese pharmacopoeia is therefore a very rich and complex practice, where patients are often prescribed a formula tailored to their individual needs. The diagnosis is the same as in acupuncture, with observation of different parts of the body (pulse, tongue).
Electroacupuncture
Electro-acupuncture involves applying a mild electric current to the needles. It is often used to combat severe or chronic pain. However, it is also used when a stronger stimulation than that obtained by simply manipulating the needles is desired.
Auriculotherapy
This is a technique that involves treating certain illnesses by placing needles in specific areas of the ear to stimulate them. It is a treatment method that uses reflex points located on the ear. In Chinese medicine, as with the feet, the ears are considered to represent the human body. Applying seeds or magnets to the reflex zones can also be used for treatment.
