The main purpose of the Association is to promote, organize, manage and carry out systematic cancer screening programs in the cantons of Jura, Neuchâtel and Bern for its administrative district of Bernese Jura, aimed at the populations domiciled there and targeted by such programs.

The Association acts on a joint or specific mandate from the cantons of Jura, Neuchâtel and Bern, by type of cancer.

The Association may also take on other specific tasks, falling within its fields of competence, on the particular mandate of other organizations active in the BEJUNE area.
