L'Entreprise du Gaz SA was founded in 1904. Originally, the company had two business sectors  the manufacture and distribution of town gas, and the management and administration of the Porrentruy town water department.

After two successive world wars, the Board of Directors at the time took the decision to diversify the company's activities, creating three distinct departments: heating installations, sanitary installations and the management of the Water Department.

Today, Entreprise du Gaz SA employs some 62 people, all with a solid training background. Whether it's basic training, where we offer the opportunity to complete apprenticeships as sanitary fitters, heating fitters, building technology planners and commercial employees, or, as far as continuing education is concerned, for staff wishing to perfect their knowledge, we offer the opportunity to take advanced courses leading to the titles of federal diploma, federal master's degree or specialist engineer.

The management has always been keen to ensure that our employees have the right skills and qualifications for the job.

With the aim of continuing to develop its activities, and in order to best serve its esteemed clientele, on January 1, 2016, a branch was opened in the town of Delémont.
