Pro Senectute Vaud is a private association of public utility. Its aim is to contribute to the material, physical and moral well-being of elderly people in Vaud, as well as to preserve or strengthen their ability to live independently and integrated into the life of the country.

For the elderly, for 100 years!

Pro Senectute Suisse was founded in 1917 and its Vaud section, Pro Senectute Vaud, in 1919, at a time of extreme precariousness for the elderly. Since then, the situation of older people in Switzerland has naturally evolved, and the support provided by Pro Senectute continues to adapt to new challenges and needs. Fundamentally, however, the mission remains the same: to contribute to the material, physical and moral well-being of people of retirement age.

The association is present in all regions of the canton. It employs some 90 staff, supported by more than 500 volunteers who work with the elderly.
