Brechbühl 2-Rad AG has been your two-wheel partner in Emmental since 1988. We offer our customers a full range of two-wheel products. From Like-Bikes to motorcycles, two-wheel enthusiasts of all ages will find the right product for them here.

Brechbühl 2-Rad AG was founded on April 1, 1988, as a sole proprietorship called F. Brechbühl Velos-Motos in the old smithy in Leimen, in the municipality of Eggiwil. The company was built up lovingly and with great dedication by Fritz and Monika Brechbühl. The focus was deliberately placed on customer friendliness and a very high quality of service. As a result, the company quickly earned a good reputation in the world of two-wheelers.

In 1996, the modern new building was opened at the Holzmatt site in Eggiwil. The large showroom for bicycles and motorcycles and the large workshop enabled further growth. At the same time, the company re-entered the market under the name Brechbühl Velos-Motos.

The development of both the bicycle and motorcycle divisions continued apace, and it soon became apparent that there was a trend towards specialization in both areas. In 2008, Brechbühl decided to invest in a separate showroom for its bicycle division. This allowed the company to respond to changing customer needs and further strengthen the specialization of both divisions.

In 2014, Brechbühl 2-Rad AG took over the representation of Yamaha, the largest motorcycle brand in Switzerland, in addition to its representation of the Suzuki brand. This step was taken with a view to optimal succession planning and the creation of a more broadly based company. For the same reasons, the sole proprietorship was converted into the current Brechbühl 2-Rad AG in 2017.

In 2019, the new showroom for the Yamaha brand, which complies with Yamaha guidelines, was opened. A year later, we were also able to renovate the existing Suzuki showroom, so that all product segments can now be presented in their own modern and well-maintained showrooms.

In the summer of 2020, we also opened our branch in Signau, where we deal exclusively with bicycles and e-bikes.

Brechbühl 2-Rad AG currently employs between 10 and 12 full-time staff (including apprentices).
