After a death, we accompany you and your loved ones individually, sensitively, and professionally through the mourning period. We take time for your concerns and support you wherever you need help. As a funeral home based in Einsiedeln, we are familiar with the regional circumstances and contacts and can provide you with comprehensive advice at your home, in the hospital, in a care home, or at our premises.

 

WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENT OF DEATH?

1. Contact the deceased's family doctor or the emergency services (telephone 144).

 

2. If it was an accident or suicide/euthanasia, notify the police immediately (telephone 117).

 

3. The doctor present at the scene will issue a death certificate (document).

 

4. With the death certificate (document), we are permitted to transfer the deceased person to the place of viewing. Please keep this document handy.

 

5. My staff will now discuss all organizational matters with you.

• Will there be a viewing?
• Will there be a burial or an urn burial?
• Where and when will the funeral take place?
• Will there be a transfer from or to another country?
• etc.

 

6. Ask your church or religious community when they have time for a farewell, burial, or funeral service.

 

7. Inform family, friends, and acquaintances of the loss of the deceased by telephone, mourning card, newspaper announcement, etc.

 

8. Notify the insurance companies and other service providers with whom the deceased person was registered.
